Gnaille Stolberg was born in Stilberg, German-Schutz, a town in Bavaria, and became fluent in German before she was brought up in Denmark. Her parents moved to Copenhagen, and she worked at Copenhagen's "Grundige Schipkraft", the biggest construction company for the building. As a teenager, she was enrolled in a preparatory academy, a program where girls learn to read in their early teens and their early twenties, with help from mentors.

A successful artist, Gnaille's family moved from Stilberg, where she developed a keen interest in literature and painting, to Copenhagen. Gnaille's father was an artist and designer, the artist Sven Stolberg himself a prominent figure in the city. She began living in Copenhagen in 1967 after spending an early age in East Copenhagen. There she joined the Dijon Museum, where she became an educator and educator.

However, her time in the city began to decline before her teens. In 1986, she died from a heart attack aged just 16. She was a keen reader of art, particularly with those rare works of art in her hands, because the stories of her own life have been widely shared in the popular press.
