The Love is Strange by Robert Heinlein

The Love is Strange was originally published in 1966, during the heyday of the ULTIMATE FIGHTER, but was published on shelves in the U.S. in 1961, when Heinlein's story started to become his bestseller. Heinlein's love of the romance is so good, in fact, he has even quoted them as gospel. The story ends with Mr. Lainey who begins to realize he's about to be married with his lover's son; with his fianciée, however, his husband discovers a huge secret that will mean he can never find his son again, for which he must have committed murder.

This first novel begins with a simple plot that, for Heinlein, looks more like an adventure than a romance. He tells a story of a young girl who learns the secrets of the love triangle and its influence on the sexual and spiritual growth of the children she meets.
