love quotes from books goodreads for those of you with a penchant for books about the state of Washington, let's take a trip back to what a lot of people have missed: The Washington Monument.

Back in 1999, The Washington Monument was one of the most notable monuments in American history. In fact, its importance went back more than 800 years. Its dedication was a major factor in the city's prosperity until Washingtonians, mostly Americans who supported the state and federal government, eventually made no money off the monument during its restoration projects. It earned some of the world's attention during the Reagan administration, and its dedication made Washington something of a tourist attraction in a lot of cities.

By 1998, The Washington Monument was gone and the state of Washington, despite having been one of only two non-native American state residents on the monument, was going to be recognized as one of the world's most desirable monuments in another area.

The monument was originally built around the ruins of a major state park, known as the Rocked Hill National Monument. Since then, it has become a popular place to visit as tourist attractions to many states all over the world.

A monument built for a city in the 17th century by James Madison, Madison's famous 1793 monument was removed in 1913, but remains to this day. It is the current monument designated as a monument for the City of San Francisco.

One of the biggest reasons for why Washington did what it does
